These Terms of Service govern your use of the Decorate with Katie website, client workspace, booking tools, video rooms, and interior design advisory services. By creating an account, booking a service, or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Services
Decorate with Katie provides interior design advice, visual direction, product suggestions, and related educational guidance. Unless a written proposal expressly says otherwise, services do not include architecture, engineering, construction documents, code review, procurement, installation, contractor supervision, or a guarantee that a product will remain available.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and use the platform only for lawful personal or business purposes. Services are currently offered to clients in the United States. You are responsible for activity under your account and for telling us promptly about unauthorized access.
3. Bookings and payment
Paid appointments are confirmed only after payment succeeds. Prices, duration, included deliverables, and any applicable credit are shown at checkout. Taxes may be added where required. Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Apple Pay may appear on eligible devices and browsers.
A Virtual Design Session payment may be credited toward a Room Plan when the Room Plan is purchased within seven calendar days of the session, as stated at booking. Credits are personal, non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be combined unless we agree in writing.
4. Scope and additional time
Each service includes only the scope displayed when you book. Live session time may be extended in 15-minute increments at the displayed rate and only when Katie is available and you approve the extension. Additional review, sourcing, messaging, or other asynchronous work is quoted in 30-minute increments. No additional paid work begins without your express approval.
5. Scheduling, cancellations, and no-shows
The Cancellation Policy is incorporated into these terms. Time-zone information is provided for convenience. You are responsible for joining at the time shown on your confirmation and for a stable internet connection during virtual sessions.
6. Client materials and permissions
You retain ownership of photos, boards, notes, measurements, links, and other materials you upload. You grant Decorate with Katie a limited license to store, display, and use those materials solely to provide, secure, and improve your services. You represent that you have the right to share the materials. Client work is not used publicly without separate permission.
7. Recommendations and purchasing
Dimensions, colors, materials, product details, lead times, and prices should be independently verified before purchase or installation. Screen colors and photographs may differ from physical materials. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you purchase directly from third parties and their terms, shipping, returns, warranties, and privacy practices apply.
8. Intellectual property
The website, platform, brand, service methods, written guidance, and original presentations belong to Decorate with Katie or its licensors. After full payment, you may use your client deliverables for your own space. You may not resell, publish, train an automated system on, or commercially reuse them without written permission.
9. Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the platform, probe or bypass security, upload malicious code, impersonate another person, scrape client or studio data, record a meeting without everyone’s consent, or use the service to violate another person’s rights.
10. Disclaimers
Design is subjective. Recommendations are professional opinions based on the information you provide. To the extent permitted by law, the platform and services are provided as available without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or a specific aesthetic, financial, safety, or resale result.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Decorate with Katie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for third-party products, contractors, delays, or unavailable items. Total liability arising from a service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes, termination, and governing law
We may update these terms and will post a revised date. Material changes apply prospectively. We may suspend access for misuse, security risk, or nonpayment. California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and disputes will be brought in state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
